It's a free directory covering the whole state — weddings, portraits, family sessions, commercial work, events. Photographers list for free. Clients search for free. Covers Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot and anywhere in between.

I've been teaching photography at Bismarck State College since 1999. BisManPhoto.com is the resource library I built for my students. It has a camera assessment tool that gives you personalized camera recommendations based on how you shoot, a skill library with downloadable field guides on topics like winter shooting and working in small markets, and a free guide for anyone who joins the mailing list. I also write science fiction. Serials, short stories, things that don't fit neatly anywhere else. Area 52½ is seven chapters in — it's about an analyst assigned to a classified government installation that Area 51 quietly declined to keep. The Grape in the Machine is about a dead IT director who gets hired by the afterlife's tech support department. His coworker conquered most of Asia and now files help desk tickets. The last guy who pushed a bad update crashed civilization for eight hundred years. Historians call it the Dark Ages. Up there, they call it Gerald.
